This race car was driven by Teo Fabi in the 1981 CAN-AM Series. The car was a Budweiser sponsored Newman Racing Team Car. It took two first place finishes, four pole positions and two fastest race laps. The car was crashed after it took its forth pole position. It was then sent back to March for a complete rebuild. This car took a major part in Teo Fabi taking a second in the Drivers Championship and led all drivers in money earnings.
