| 1976 Porsche 911S / Owner: Bob Nikolas This Porsche began life as a totally stock Ice Green 911S. The car was completely stripped and taken all the way down to sheet metal. Of course in order to accomplish this the car was totally disassembled. The car was fitted with Carerra flares at the rear fenders to accommodate wider tires. One might inquire as to why this car was featured as a special vehicle on this site. This car is twenty-five years old and is a perfect example of a special vehicle. These cars are relatively inexpensive to acquire and can provide a tremendous amount of pleasure to their owners. The lower horsepower cars don't wear as fast as the higher power sibling and even with the upgraded suspension they still ride very nicely. If you are considering an older Porsche, contact us. Not only can we assist in finding a car, but we can check it out and prioritize what needs to be done from a service standpoint so your investment lasts as long as this gem does. |

This 911 was lowered approximately one inch and aftermarket Bilstein shocks were fitted to the suspension. The original Fuch's alloys were replaced with larger BBS wheels. Many of the late seventies emissions devices have been modified in order to provide greater performance on this car. The rest of the drivetrain is completely stock. The car carries the original Bosch CIS Fuel Injection system, and of course that unmistakable Porsche 911 sound. Here we see the car in its original color. This car has been to many local drivers schools. These shots show the car running laps out at Waterford Raceway in Waterford, Michigan. For all the modifications that you or we make to a car, don't forget to give some consideration to a driver school, sometimes the best performance improvement you can make has nothing to do with the car. |
